Purdue boasts that 99%+ of the matriculates of the programs pass the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE). 75% of matriculates are employed by vets while 25% find work in: veterinary schools, biomedical research, teaching, diagnostic laboratories, zoos, veterinary supply sales, farms, humane societies, animal control, and food inspection.

What is most interesting about Purdue is their distance learning program which allows prospective veterinary technicians to study at their own pace. According to the site, students who take a 9 hour / day workload can earn their degree in 2 years. However, because most students who enroll in distance learning have day jobs, it can take up to 5 years to complete the program.
