Seeking a full-time NY state licensed or license-eligible technician for all-bird/exotic pet hospital, Veterinary Center for Birds & Exotics (www.avianexoticsvet.com) in Bedford Hills, NY. Owned by board-certified bird veterinarian. Position is Tues-Thurs, 11am-7pm; Friday, 11am-5pm; Saturday, 9am-1pm. Salary is commensurate with experience. Some previous experience with birds & exotic pets desirable. Healthcare and CE benefits. Hiring immediately for the right person. Looking for a self-motivated, reliable, energetic team player who wants a long term commitment at a new, growing state-of-the-art all bird/exotic hospital treating birds, ferrets, rabbits, rodents, reptiles, amphibians, and other less common exotic pets (sugar gliders, hedgehogs, wallabies). We do not treat dogs or cats or primates. On-site endoscopy, ultrasonography, conventional and radiosurgery, Doppler and oscillometric blood pressure monitoring, digital radiography, an Internet camera-monitored boarding facility, a separately ventilated isolation ward, an on-site laboratory and pharmacy, and full support of 2 nearby 24-hour emergency hospitals. Consultation services provided by a board-certified internal medicine specialist, a board certified cardiologist, and a board-certified surgeon who visit the practice, as needed. Radiographs are read by a board-certified radiologist. Staff consists of 2 vets, 2 other NY state licensed vet techs, a vet tech currently in a licensing program, a full-time practice manager, a full-time front officer manager/receptionist, and a part-time receptionist.
